The village of Angel Fire, situated in a special energy vortex ideal for Skye Lodge activities, has a population of only 1216 local residents and sits at an elevation over 8400 Ft (2500 meters). The climate reaches the high 70s F in summer and 8-25 F in the winter time.

Skye Lodge, open all year around, is part of Angel Fire Resort which began in 1966, as a small ski destination in Northern New Mexico and has grown into a four-season resort offering a memorable Rocky Mountain experience for families, outdoor enthusiasts and groups.

Only 23 miles from Taos, and a 90 mile drive along the Rio Grande River from charming Sante Fe , you will not be disappointed!

 

Getting to Angel Fire

If flying from abroad, the best airport to fly to in New Mexico to get to Angel Fire is Santa Fe Regional airport. This is not an international airport, there are regular flights from international airports to Santa Fe from Dallas, Denver and Phoenix.

From Santa Fe airport, car hires are available for the 2 hour drive to Angel Fire of approximately 90 miles.

If you are not driving, you can get a taxi from Santa Fe regional airport to South Capital metro station in Santa Fe (note Ubers aren’t very frequent in the late evening times from Santa Fe airport). From there, there is a free shuttle run by RTD route 200/300 that takes 2-2.5 hours to get to Taos. See the schedule here. From Taos  you can order a taxi (or Uber) to Angel Fire.

Flights are also available to the larger Albuquerque International Sunport which is a medium sized airport in New Mexico with domestic flights only. The drive to Angel Fire is just under 3 hours.
